Lara R.M. Nygaard joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in January of 2003. She primarily practices in the areas of Municipal Law, including Criminal Prosecutions, Real Estate, and Litigation. She attended Rutgers University and received undergraduate degrees in History and Administration of Justice in 1999. Lara received her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 2002.
During law school, Lara received a CALI Award for Academic Excellence in Constitutional Law and was recognized by the Minnesota Justice Foundation for her work in law related public service.
Lara was admitted to the Wisconsin Bar in 2002 and the Minnesota Bar in 2003. She was also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the district of Minnesota in 2005. Lara is a member of the Minnesota, Wisconsin and American Bar Associations.
